| Machine Outline |
| |
On the AIM, two XV-robots are aligned parallel to each other, with placements divided into two individual processes to deliver high-efficiency production. The lightweight, removable placing heads allow the machine to handle ultra-small parts to large size parts, making it possible to create a placement platform capable of dealing with any production scenario.
Features
Support for any production scenario, from test placement to high variety, low volume production.
Easily replaceable placing heads and nozzle stations allow modules to be configured to suit any production volume or product type, while making it easy to add optional functionality by purchasing required units incrementally as needed. Furthermore, it is possible to realize flexible machine configurations that give priority to particular part types, such as modules that primarily place chips, or modules that primarily place QFPs.

| |
| Variety of part supply methods provides high versatility |
| |
| Support is provided for a variety of part supply methods such as tape feeders,. tray units, and stick feeders, enabling placement of 0603 (0201) to 74 x 74 mm (32 x 180 mm) parts. |
| |
Motor powered feeders provide stable parts supply. The AIM can accommodate up to 180 feeders at a time. Efficiency is maximized with the ability to load replenished feeders and perform part splicing while the machine is operating. Tray units can be interchanged with device pallets. Up to 40 part types can be set on a tray unit.
|
| |
Combining high productivity with a wide range of supported part types |
| |
The AIM comprises a two XV-robot, four placing head configuration, with placements divided into two individual processes. For each XY robot, select two heads that are best suited for the parts to be placed. Using different head types on a robot allows a wider range of part sizes to be placed, while using two of the same head type can bring increased productivity.
|
| |
Also, by employing a high intensity LED lighting unit, suitable lighting can be achieved for any part type, providing more stable vision processing. This enables support for parts ranging from 0603s (0201s) through to BGAs, CCGAs and even connectors. |
| |
| Automation and reduction of time required for changeover |
| |
The easily attached head enables ultra quick changeovers in response to production volume and product type. Furthermore, downtime is reduced to an absolute minimum using the auto calibration function and eliminating troublesome operator settings following replacement of the head or other units.
|
| |
Ease of use |
| |
A non-language dependent, icon-based operation panel provides clear, intuitive, stepby-step instructions, making operation even for the most experienced users. As a result, time spent on user training is minimized. |

-
Power source: Three-phase 200 ~ 230 VAG ±10%
A dedicated power source, not shared with other large equipment, should be used in order to avoid problems with electrical noise, voltage fluctuations, high frequency distortions, and other related problems. There is leakage current of approximately 30 mA. It may be required to install an isolating transformer to the machine when needed to avoid this electric leakage.
When using a short circuit breaker, ensure to use a high-speed model with sensed current of 100 mA.
